Job summary

Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT is seeking an assistant to radiology technologists to support MRI procedures and enhance patient flow. You will assist during exams, help prepare patients, and ensure accurate workflow with Cerner functions.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, safeguarding sterile environments, retrieving records, and aiding radiologists while maintaining compliance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• HS Grad or Equivalent.
• Zero to six months experience.
• Previous radiology experience desired; anatomy knowledge helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and directs flow from waiting rooms to exam rooms.
• Evaluates patient prescriptions to ensure proper exam is performed.
• Orders and completes Cerner functions.
• Prepares patient for procedures and assists during exams.
• Assists technologist and radiologist throughout procedures.
• Retrieves x-rays and records and develops radiographs as needed.
• Brings films to radiologist for evaluation.
• Cleans exam room and restocks used materials.
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities for the position.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
