Job summary

OHSU Health Diagnostic Imaging Clinics seeks a Radiology Hospital Aide to support patient care and exam preparation across multiple locations in Oregon. You will assist patients, families, and staff to ensure safety and efficient procedures in radiology settings.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a BLS certification within 30 days; you must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire or before independent practice.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients and family members to/from waiting areas and prepare patients for exams.
• Verify imaging protocols are completed by radiologists and notify technologists of incomplete items.
• Provide patient transportation and assist in navigating Diagnostic Clinics.
• Stock exam rooms, storerooms, and assist with supply ordering; identify needs and expired items.
• Assist with lifting, moving, and transferring non-ambulatory patients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
