Job summary

Good Shepherd Health Care in Hermiston, Oregon is seeking a Radiology Tech to support the Diagnostic Imaging department. You will perform radiographic procedures, ensure image quality, and assist practitioners with interventional tasks while maintaining patient care and safety.

Qualifications include an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT/OBMI registration, and a current BLS certification; 2 years’ experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Requires ARRT registered Radiologic technologist and OBMI license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Preferred: minimum 2 years’ experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiography procedures.
• Corroborates patient's clinical history with procedures and documents information.
• Prepares patient for procedures and provides instructions to obtain desired results.
• Selects and operates radiography equipment to achieve desired results.
• Positions patient and equipment to best demonstrate the area of interest.
• Immobilizes patients as required for appropriate examination.
• Determines exposure factors and minimizes radiation dose to patient.
• Evaluates images for technical quality and proper identification.
• Assists licensed practitioners with procedures and manages aseptic technique.
• Supports hospital mission and participates in required education.
