Job summary

Hmixray is seeking a Technologist Aide to support Yonkers and Tuckahoe locations, assisting with registration, scheduling, and patient flow. The role emphasizes accurate data collection, insurance verification, and maintaining a sterile, safe clinical environment.

The position requires a High School Diploma, at least 1 year in a medical office, and BLS certification. You will work across two sites, with cross-training and career advancement opportunities in a team-focused radiology setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet, register, collect copays, verify patient information and communicate delays to patients.
• Obtain insurance authorizations and patient information, collect signatures and complete documentation.
• Schedule, reschedule or cancel appointments and notify staff of changes.
• Ensure equipment and tools are sterilized before each patient exam.
• Assist technologists with patients.
• Safeguard patient property and health information.
• Safeguard medications on site according to policies and legal requirements.
• Maintain professionalism toward patients and coworkers.
• Interact diplomatically with patients and families in a clinical setting.
• Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
