Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• 1–3 years of current clinical radiology experience, preferably mammography.
• Experience with PACS and electronic medical records system.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography and general imaging, positioning patients and adjusting techniques as appropriate.
• Record, process, and maintain patient data within the EMR and PACS.
• Complete image processing procedures and quality control testing.
• Follow Radiologist protocols to ensure diagnostic quality of images.
• Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations.
• Communicate with patients to explain procedures and obtain history.
• Perform phlebotomy and basic lab testing as ordered by providers.
• Rotate on mobile mammography unit if needed.

Job Title: Back Mammography Technologist – Green Bay Metro Area

Job Summary

The Mammography Technologist at Prevea Health performs diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with Radiologist protocols, primarily conducting mammograms while also supporting general x-ray. The role includes mammography and general imaging, including specialty such as orthopedics as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography and general imaging, positioning patients and adjusting techniques as appropriate.
• Record, process, and maintain patient data within the electronic medical record and PACS system.
• Complete all image processing procedures and quality control testing.
• Follow Radiologist protocols to ensure diagnostic quality of images.
• Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations.
• Communicate with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm understanding, and address questions or concerns.
• Perform phlebotomy and basic lab testing as ordered by providers.
• Potentially rotate on mobile mammography unit.

Education & Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited or approved program in Radiological Technology.

Experience Required

• 1–3 years of current clinical experience in diagnostic radiology, preferably mammography.
• Clinical student experience may be considered in lieu of one year of current clinical experience.

Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and positioning for imaging.
• Knowledge of safety hazards common to radiology, including equipment, body mechanics, and patient movement.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients and medical staff.
