Brown University Health’s The Miriam Hospital is seeking an evenings/night-shift Imaging Support Aide to assist radiology staff with portable procedures and patient transport. You’ll prepare patients, position them for exams, and ensure equipment and rooms are ready and clean.
With at least three months in patient care, you’ll work under supervision to maintain safety, accuracy, and quality control while serving adult and geriatric patients at The Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI.
SUMMARY: Under general supervision of Manager Medical Imaging, and in accordance with established policies and procedures, performs a variety of functions to assist in the daily operation of the Diagnostic Imaging division such as transportation of patients requiring radiographic procedures, preparing patient and room for examinations, preparing exposed radiographic images, assisting in maintaining inventory of supplies and cleanliness of work area, pick-up and delivery of supplies for department, assisting the radiographer in portable radiographic procedures, performing related duties such as completing forms, logging in data into computer terminal. All essential functions performed reflect the age-specific needs of the adult and geriatric patient and adapt their care to physical, psychosocial and cultural needs. Pay Range: $18.00-$25.82
