Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Maplewood, MN seeks a Radiology Aide to join the imaging team at St John's Hospital. This 1.0 FTE role (80 hours per two weeks) works Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

with rotating weekends, supporting radiology staff, patients and nursing personnel to maintain smooth patient flow. You will assist technologists and radiologists, help prepare rooms, transfer patients, develop films, and manage supplies while following safety standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate Windows and Outlook, and use Epic EHR.

Job Overview

Here at Fairview, we are now seeking a Radiology Aide to join our imaging team at St John's Hospital in Maplewood, MN! This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per 2 weeks) position that will work Monday through Friday from 8AM - 4:30PM with rotating weekends.

Aids as requested to Radiology Department staff, patients, and nursing personnel.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.


• Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.


• Assists the radiologic technologist and radiologist with procedures to facilitate patient flow.


• Provides appropriate patient safety measures to ensure delivery of quality patient care.


• Develops films to ensure maintenance of patient flow.


• Prepares room set-up to ensure availability of procedural needs.


• Transports patients to maintain patient flow.


• Assembles and files radiology jackets to ensure timely examination processing.


• Maintains supply inventory to ensure availability of required items.

Required Qualifications

• High School or equivalent


• Computer Skills: Basic ability to use a computer and applications that are associated with performing basic work tasks (navigate in Windows, Outlook, epic EHR, etc.).


• Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)

Preferred Qualifications

• Interpersonal Communication: Skilled in developing effective rapport with customers, co- workers, or families, actively listening to develop a positive connection.
