Job summary

The VA Valley Coastal Bend Health Care System - Harlingen - TX is seeking a Radiologist to provide image interpretation and patient care within Diagnostic Radiology with potential subspecialty expertise. Eligible for Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP).

Responsibilities include exam interpretation, reporting, quality assurance, safety oversight, and teaching of staff and trainees in a comprehensive VA setting.

Qualifications

• Basic requirements include US citizenship, a medical degree (MD/DO), and a full, unrestricted medical license.
• Radiology residency approved by VA or equivalent, with eligibility for board certification.
• English language proficiency and ability to practice in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Interpret imaging exams and generate reports with findings, measurements, and impressions.
• Provide clinical oversight of imaging safety, quality assurance, and staff education.
• Coordinate patient care and consult with clinical providers on exam selection and results.
• Support academic affiliations and teaching of technologists, residents, and students.
