Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Radiologist to interpret a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies and supervise residents and staff in the Imaging Service. The role includes on-call duties, quality oversight, and participation in QA and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Citizenship: US citizen or eligible for appointment per VA policy.
• Education: MD/DO from VA-approved schools.
• License: full, unrestricted medical license in US or DC.
• Residency: completed in an ACGME/AOA-accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Interpret a wide variety of diagnostic imaging examinations.
• Monitor quality of submitted diagnostic images and interpretations.
• Supervise residents, technologists and nurses in the service.
• Order CT and MRI examinations in a timely manner when indicated.
• Document interpretations and clinical decisions in CPRS per policy.
• Provide on-call coverage after hours, weekends, and holidays.
