Job summary

DUF6-MCS LLC is seeking a Radiological Control Technician to support the DUF6 project. The role provides radiological monitoring, safety walk-downs, and RWPs under ISM guidance, with duties spanning air sampling, surveys, and data management.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of related radiological control experience, including DOE activities, with on-site exposure. A security clearance is required; random drug testing applies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 3 years related radiological control technician experience, including at least 1 year in DOE radiological activities and on-site experience or equivalent in a DOE or NRC regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide radiological monitoring and job coverage for all DUF6 operations and maintenance activities.
  • Develop Radiological Work Permits (RWPs).
  • Conduct radiological safety walk-downs and pre-job walk-downs.
  • Collect air samples and perform air sample analysis, smear counting, and spectral analysis.
  • Conduct removable and fixed contamination surveys and dose rate surveys.
  • Maintain radiological monitoring equipment and input data into the HIS-20 database.
  • Review ES&H procedures and advise on safety improvements.
  • Interacts with management to ensure safety policies and procedures are followed.
