Job summary

DUF6-MCS LLC seeks a Health Safety Technician - Radiological to provide ES&H support in radiological control, IH/IS, and environmental tasks for the DUF6 project. Under supervision, you will monitor radiological conditions, develop RWPs, and perform surveys to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma and about 3 years of radiological control experience, including DOE activities, with on-site availability and ability to obtain a clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years related radiological control technician experience, including: 1 year DOE radiological activities; 1/4 year on-site; or equivalent DOE/NRC regulated environment training.

Responsibilities

• Provides radiological monitoring and job coverage support for all DUF6 operations and maintenance activities.
• Develops Radiological Work Permits (RWPs) and conducts radiological safety walk-downs and pre-job walk-downs.
• Collects air samples, performs smear counting and spectral analysis, and conducts contamination surveys and dose rate surveys.
• Maintains radiological monitoring equipment, inputs data into HIS-20, and generates survey records and reports.
• Ensures compliance with 10 CFR 835 and stops unsafe work identified to protect personnel safety.
