Qualifications

Job description

Operates x-ray and auxiliary equipment, processes images, maintains and cleans equipment, and maintains required documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares patients for exams, explaining procedures in layman terms to alleviate anxiety, and obtains consent forms when necessary.


• Performs various x-ray exams following established standards and procedures, positions patients, adjusts immobilization devices, and operates equipment to obtain correct exposures. Monitors patient condition during procedures and reports abnormalities promptly. Enters patient data and maintains proper records.


• Processes and maintains images, labels films correctly, and ensures proper documentation and tracking of examinations.


• Performs related duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.


• Licensed as a Radiologic Technologist by the New York State Department of Health.


• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).


• At least one (1) year of experience performing radiologic exams.


• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
