Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an X-Ray Technologist. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing medically prescribed radiographic procedures.

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain supplies and cleanliness of the workspace, restock supplies as needed, and notify supervisor of shortages.
  • Assist with special projects, reports, and activities in the section.
  • Maintain professional relationships with patients, physicians, nurses, and staff.
  • Set up, utilize, and maintain radiographic equipment properly.
  • Perform quality control checks on X-ray equipment and monitors.
  • Use imaging and peripheral equipment safely and according to protocols.
  • Report malfunctioning equipment and ensure safety procedures are followed to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Implement patient procedures independently following departmental standards.
  • Explain procedures to patients, ensure their comfort, privacy, and understanding.
  • Position patients and equipment correctly to obtain optimal images.
  • Use proper identification methods to confirm patient identity and maintain confidentiality.
  • Access and utilize hospital information systems for scheduling, documentation, and verification.
  • Follow all safety, isolation, and procedural protocols diligently.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Certificate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
  • New York State license
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Preferred Qualifications

College graduate. Effective communication skills across all organizational levels are essential.
