Qualifications

  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum: CPR certification and ARRT certification within 3 months.

Job description

University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority

90% FTE, night shift. Week 1: Thursday 6:00PM - 6:00AM, Friday and Saturday 10:00PM - 8:00AM. Week 2: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 10:00PM - 8:00AM. Weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation included. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI, with potential eligibility for up to an $18,000 sign-on bonus. Both experienced and new graduate radiologic technologists are encouraged to apply. Hours may vary based on departmental needs.

Pay:

  • Up to $18,000 sign-on bonus for external hires (pro-rated based on FTE).
  • Relocation assistance up to $5,000 may be available for qualified applicants.
  • Night shift differential of $4.50 hourly.
  • Pay range reflects the Radiologic Technologist - Interventional role.
  • For new grads prior to licensure, pay will be lower.

We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist (X-ray / Rad Tech, new graduate) to:

  • Perform a variety of imaging exams on adults, geriatrics, adolescents, and children using diverse radiographic equipment, computers, detectors, and plate readers.
  • Troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in quality assurance, and resolve issues related to image processing and archiving systems.
  • Make quick, technical decisions to accommodate physical restrictions and pathologies.
  • Serve as a clinical instructor for affiliated training programs, participate in education of other technologists and healthcare professionals, and possibly engage in clinical research.

Education:

Minimum: Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field

Work Experience:

Preferred: 2 years of clinical experience

Certifications:

Minimum: CPR certification within 3 months; ARRT certification and Wisconsin Radiological License within 3 months.
