Position Summary:

Sovah Martinsville is seeking a full-time CT Technologist WEO-Nights to provide computed tomography imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Review patient history and physician's orders.
  2. Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  3. Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice when ordered.
  4. Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
  5. Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
  6. Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary.
  7. Position patients and perform imaging procedures.
  8. Analyze results and identify issues with the quality of imaging results.
  9. Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures.
  10. Enter, transmit and report scan results.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an educational program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Full range of motion of upper and lower extremities.
  • Moving and/or lifting patients and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Pushing equipment > 100 pounds. Dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges.
  • Standing and/or walking for extensive periods.
  • Working under stressful conditions and irregular hours. Potential for exposure to communicable disease and/or body fluid which requires the use of body substance isolation precautions.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Advanced certification in Computed Tomography is preferred.

Work Experience:

Minimum of one year experience as a Radiologic Technologist in Diagnostic Radiology preferred. Previous CT experience preferred.
