UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL, is seeking a radiologic technologist to join our radiology team at our adult Level I Trauma Center. You will perform high-quality diagnostic exams in a fast-paced environment, supporting trauma teams and emergency services while ensuring patient safety.

Position Overview

Pay range: $22.90 - $37.25 / hour

Shifts: AM 3-12 hour shifts, 7on/7off Days, 7on/7off Evenings, Evenings: 2:30pm-11:00pm, 7on/7of Nights, Flexi PRN

Job Description

Radiologic technologists are responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic examinations in a fast paced, high-acuity environment. This role supports trauma teams, emergency services, and multiple service lines by ensuring accurate imaging, patient safety, and timely communication of critical information. The technologist adheres to radiation safety standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements while providing compassionate, professional care to patients with complex and emergent conditions.

Qualifications

Graduate from a Radiography program accredited by a mechanism acceptable to the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required. One (1) year experience in general radiography preferred. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently registered as a Radiologic Technologist (R.T.(ARRT)) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required OR registered within one (1) year from date of hire for a new graduate. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required or should be obtained within 30 days of employment.
