Qualifications

  • American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Provider.
  • Minimum of 3 years of lead/management experience preferred.

Position Summary
The Supervisor performs management duties including but not limited to: leading direct reports under the direction of imaging leadership, developing schedules for the team, maintaining productivity, expediting patient flow and communication to insure service excellence, responsible for the oversight of quality and ordering of supplies.
  • This position is a working supervisor and will be responsible to perform procedures as needed. Meets all patient care and must be proficient in IT systems including Cerner, PACS, RIS, Connect Care. Demonstrates flexibility as needed to maintain the workflow. Demonstrates proficiency in resolving customer problems. Demonstrates proficiency in meeting timelines for customer satisfaction. Maintains licensing and stays abreast of the changes within the field. Has an excellent knowledge of the human anatomy & pathology and can use this knowledge to provide quality images for interpretation.
  • Responsible for human resources duties such as but not limited to; recruitment of new team members, competencies, evaluations and professional development. Supervises a team in excess of five full time team members.
  • Responsible for managing clinical quality assurance and safety programs in accordance with state and federal regulations.

The Process Improvement team delivers excellence always, to both our physicians and customers, by maximizing the value generated from every hospital process and function. Team member participation, support and active use of the Process Improvement concepts and tools are required.
  • Maintains inventory levels and assures that sufficient quantities of supplies are on hand at all times.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of advanced computer applications including PACS and Image manipulation for image enhancement. The CT technologist has an advanced knowledge of the human anatomy & pathology and can use this knowledge to provide quality CT images for interpretation.
  • Works with the Operations Managers to insure maintenance of ACR and all regulatory requirements.
  • Effectively uses and role models current leadership techniques and theories, encouraging the decision-making skills of staff members and providing insight and leadership in complex situations.
  • Ensures that information disseminated to staff is monitored for effectiveness and changed as needed.
  • Understands and enforces hospital and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Serve on hospital and Patient Care Services committees, teams, and work groups as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
This job can be physically demanding at times requiring stooping, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time. The team member will need to frequently assist lifting patients and heavy equipment. Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, making sound decisions, detail oriented, alert and self-motivated. Ability to push/pull up to 40lbs, carry and lift up to 50lbs.
