Job summary

Jupiter Medical Center in the Town of Florida seeks a CT Technologist to perform various CT procedures such as abdominal, pelvic, and head scans. Candidates must have a current State of Florida License and ARRT certification.

You will demonstrate advanced knowledge of human anatomy to provide quality imaging and facilitate effective patient care. This position requires strong computer skills and effective communication.

The working environment may be physically demanding, necessitating the ability to lift patients and equipment.

Qualifications

  • Current ARRT, CT Registry required or obtained within 6 months of hire date.
  • American Heart Association BLS, for Health Care Provider.
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of advanced computer applications.

Education

Two (2) years of college

Position Summary

The CT Technologist performs all CT procedures, abdominal, pelvic, head/skull, thorax and extremities.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of advanced computer applications including PACS and Image manipulation for image enhancement.
  • Demonsrates advanced knowledge of the human anatomy & pathology and can use this knowledge to provide quality CT images for interpretation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

This job can be physically demanding at times requiring stooping, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods of time. The team member will need to frequently assist lifting patients and heavy equipment. Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, making sound decisions, detail oriented, alert and self‑motivated. Ability to push/pull up to 40lbs, carry and lift up to 50lbs.

Threshold Requirements
  • These threshold requirements are required and completed yearly basis
  • Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation
  • TB/PPD Surveillance Program
  • Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
