Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform routine and specialized diagnostic radiology procedures for patients of all ages under the direction of a radiologist.

The role requires independent judgment to adapt procedures, maintain safety, and ensure quality imaging while following Joint Commission guidelines and radiation protection best practices. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist in Illinois with IEMA certification.
• ARRT radiography registration and BLS within 30 days.
• Formal radiologic technology education and degree completed.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits competency in radiographic and specialized procedures.
• Deviates from routines per patient condition or radiologist request.
• Knowledge of invasive procedures and sterile tray setup; schedule appropriately.
• Obtains and documents pre/post procedure information.
• Follows Joint Commission patient safety goals.
• Maintains quality care and radiation protection during procedures.
• Maintains knowledge of department equipment and supports multiple areas.
• Troubleshoots equipment and reports issues timely.
• Ensures accurate entry of exam data and efficient patient flow.
• Assists training of technologists and students; promotes cost-effective care.

Education

Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography (IEMA)

Registered in Radiography (ARRT)

Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - AHA

Certificate of Completion: Radiologic Technology

Associate's Degree: Radiologic Technology
