Job summary

ARRT certification within 1 year of graduation or hire is required, CPR certification, and AMA COE radiologic technology program graduate status. Competitive salary and a $15,000 sign-on bonus accompany this position.

Qualifications

• ARRT registration within 1 year of graduation or hire.
• CPR Certification.
• Graduate of AMA COE radiologic technology program.
• Proficient typing and Windows PC skills.
• Customer service oriented.
• Availability for hospital call within 30 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and performs diagnostic radiologic cases for patients.
• Operates radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment and follows radiation safety rules.
• Provides coverage to the emergency room, surgery and other situations requesting radiologic procedures.
• Manages information with strict confidentiality.
• Follows safety and infection prevention policies.
• Communicates to reduce conflicts and follows Radiation Policy and Alabama rules.
• Uses PACS to document patient information and charges correctly.
• Maintains competency with all department exams and reports.
• Communicates accurate patient history and symptoms to Radiologist.
