Job summary

Backus Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiographic imaging in multiple settings, position patients and operate X-ray equipment, while delivering compassionate patient care to support accurate diagnoses.

The role may include fluoroscopic procedures as needed, with requirements including accredited radiography education, CT radiographer licensure in Connecticut, ARRT radiography certification within 120 days of graduation, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program.
• State of Connecticut Radiographer license.
• ARRT certification in Radiography (obtained within 120 days of graduation for new graduates).
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures in various locations including ambulatory or acute settings, positioning patients and operating diagnostic x-ray equipment.
• Provide patient care during imaging exams to assist in diagnosis and treatment; may perform fluoroscopic procedures as needed.

Position Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures in various locations including but not limited to ambulatory or acute settings by positioning patients, operating diagnostic x-ray equipment and providing patient care during imaging exams to assist in diagnosis and treatment of the patient. Our Radiologic Technologists may perform fluoroscopic procedures as needed.
