Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center - Radiology is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for a part-time PRN role in the Radiology department. You will perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, validate patient identity, and coordinate with the radiologist to ensure safe, accurate imaging.

The ideal candidate is ARRT-credentialed or registry-eligible within one year of hire and must hold BLS. You will work 12 hours per week with a focus on patient care and compliant record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date. BLS required.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development and applies it to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
• Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
