Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic exams with accuracy and safety in accordance with medical director protocols. Responsibilities include imaging at bedside, ER, and operating rooms, while maintaining radiation safety and assisting radiologists with advanced procedures.

Applicants should graduate from a JRC-approved Radiologic Technology program, have ARRT certification within 3 months of hire, and hold BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRC-approved Radiologic Technology program.
• One year of general radiographer experience preferred but not required.
• ARRT certification required within 3 months of hire.
• KBMIRT temporary license required prior to start date.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations according to established protocols.
• Ensure patient identification and order verification.
• Provide pre- and post-exam patient education.
• Produce high-quality images within department protocols.
• Follow radiation safety practices and shielding procedures.
• Assist radiologists with complex examinations.
• Prepare and administer contrast media as per policy.
• Maintain credentials and participate in department meetings.
