Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRC-approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT certification required within 3 months of hire.
• KBMIRT temporary license required prior to start date.
• BLS required.
• One year of general radiographer experience preferred but not required.
• Must communicate effectively in verbal and written formats.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with imaging systems.

Responsibilities

• Uses consistent techniques to gather information and verify patient identity and orders.
• Performs pre- and post-exam education for patients.
• Produces radiographic images with accuracy per protocol in various settings.
• Maintains radiation safety practices including shielding and pregnancy status checks.
• Assists radiologists with intricate examinations and contrast administration.
• Ensures examinations are completed and ready for physician interpretation.
• Maintains proficiency with department equipment and information systems.
