Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a Radiologic Technician to perform radiographic examinations with strict adherence to protocols and safety standards. The role includes preparing for and assisting with complex procedures and ensuring accurate, timely imaging for physician interpretation.

The ideal candidate will have a JRC-approved radiologic technology program, ARRT certification within three months, and a KBMIRT license before start date, plus BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of JRC-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT certification required within 3 months of hire.
• KBMIRT temporary license required prior to start date.
• BLS certification required.
• One year of general radiographer experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
• Must be able to analyze data, manage resources, and evaluate performance of others.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic examinations according to established protocols.
• Maintains radiation safety practices during radiographic procedures.
• Assists radiologist with intricate radiographic examinations.
• Prepares for and administers contrast media per hospital policy and regulations.
• Ensures examinations are completed and ready for physician interpretation.
