Job summary

NC Health Caldwell Memorial Hospital radiology department seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform routine diagnostic imaging and assist radiologists with complex procedures, including contrast administration, while ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include image acquisition, QA, RIS/PACS workflow, and coordination with the HIM/HIS systems.

An associate degree in Radiologic Sciences and ARRT eligibility with BLS certification are required; no prior experience

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program, within 90 days if unfinished.
• ARRT registration or eligible; must obtain within one year of hire.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification.
• No prior experience required.
• Knowledge of radiation protection, safety, infection control and standard precautions.

Responsibilities

• Conducts routine radiology procedures to acquire diagnostic data.
• Assists radiologist in complex procedures, including contrast administration.
• Prepares and maintains patient records, verifies demographics and orders.
• Operates RIS, PACS, and HIS to document and transmit images.
• Monitors patient safety and responds to emergencies during exams.
