Rothman Orthopaedics in Bryn Mawr, PA is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiographic equipment and produce diagnostic images per physician protocols. The role includes assisting during fluoroscopic procedures and ensuring ALARA safety standards are followed.

The ideal candidate is an ARRT-registered technologist with an accredited radiologic program, capable of preparing patients, obtaining histories, and explaining exams.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Active ARRT registration and continued certification are required.
• NJ radiology licensure may be required for NJ-based postings.

Responsibilities

• Greets and escorts patient to the exam room.
• Obtains patient history for scheduling accuracy.
• Explains the exam to the patient and answers questions.
• Maintains patient comfort and safety during procedures.
• Provides radiation protection per ALARA standards.
• Selects technical factors and produces quality radiographs.
• critiques radiographs and makes adjustments as needed.
• Assists during fluoroscopic procedures (epidural injections, hip aspirations).
• Reports equipment problems to supervisor and vendors.
• Participates in training of new staff.
