Job summary

Sutter Health’s ABSMC-Ashby Campus seeks a Radiologic Technologist on a Per Diem/Casual basis. The role involves radiographic procedures under supervision, applying ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes, and assuming responsibility for assigned areas.

Certification in radiography and BLS are required. Qualified candidates will have AMA-approved radiologic tech training and a HS diploma or equivalent, with the ability to work varied shifts, including occasional weekends, at the Ashby Campus

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience required.
• Formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved school required or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures under the direction of a radiologist or supervisor.
• Apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis with independent judgment.
• May lead designated procedures and provide student instruction as assigned.

Position Overview

Under the direction of a radiologist or supervisor, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. May have individual responsibility for specified radiographic procedures and/or be assigned various duties including student instructions and lead duties.

Education

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

• HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience
• Other: Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved school.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

• CRT-Certified Radiologic Technologist
• RHF-Radiology Fluoroscopy
• ARRT - Radiography - American Register of Radiologic Technologists
• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

Preferred Experience As Typically Acquired In

Competent in components of radiographic practice as determined to be adequate by the Assistant Director.

Pay Range is $63.00 to $80.28 / hour
