Job summary

Wellstar in Georgia seeks an APRN to support radiology imaging services within the modality team. This role reports to the modality manager and involves performing imaging exams, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high standards of patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires ARRT-R and BLS certifications, at least one year of radiology experience, and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. A strong focus on safety and quality care is essential.

Qualifications

• Accredited Radiologic Technology program completed.
• ARRT-R Radiography certification required upon hire.
• BLS- Instructor or BLS- Basic Life Support required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of assigned modality imaging while adhering to department protocols and ALARA to minimize exposure.
• Performs imaging exams consistent with the modality and settings; evaluates image quality and records proper patient identification.
• Provides optimal patient care and supports patient needs during procedures in line with Patient Family Centered care.
• Applies patient safety principles during all care aspects and responds appropriately to emergencies.
• Adheres to aseptic technique and hand-washing policies.
• Assists Radiologist with procedures and protocols.
• Other duties as assigned and required by the modality manager.
• Complies with Wellstar Health System policies and code of conduct.
