Job summary

The Rochester Regional Health radiology team is seeking a Per Diem Radiologic Technologist to support diagnostic imaging across locations as needed. You will perform radiographic procedures, ensure high-quality films, and maintain patient comfort and safety during unsupervised shifts with on-call coverage for the Diagnostic Section of Radiology.

Required NYS licensure in Radiologic Technology or permit with licensure within six months; ARRT certification within one year if licensed after 2007;

Qualifications

• 2 years college certificate or equivalent.
• NYS license in Radiologic Technology required, or must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of hire.
• If licensed after 2007, must obtain ARRT certification within 1 year of hire.
• Excellent patient service skills.
• Critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Exceptional documentation/computer skills and professional behavior.

SCHEDULE: Per Diem

SUMMARY:

Performs and assists radiologists in performing radiographic procedures, obtaining films of good diagnostic quality while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients undergoing these procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Patient Care. Perform radiography of patients in all assigned areas; maintain accountability for timely and proper service to patients during unsupervised shifts; provide on‑call coverage for the Diagnostic Section of Radiology; provide excellent patient service

Preferred Qualifications:

• Radiologic Technologist experience preferred

• BLS Certification preferred.

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
