Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform X-ray, portable, fluoroscopic, and C-arm exams, while safely positioning patients and maintaining high-quality images. You will operate imaging equipment, review images for quality, follow ALARA and radiation safety standards, and assist radiologists with exams at Mercyhealth facilities.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology with ARRT registration, CPR/BLS, and IL/WI licensure as applicable,

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT Radiography registration required.
• IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required for Illinois.
• WI-DSPS radiographer license required for Wisconsin.
• CPR/BLS certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiographic, portable, C-arm and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Reviews patients' clinical history ensuring appropriate orders and labs where needed.
• Operates imaging equipment and positions patients for best results.
• Follows ALARA principles and radiation safety standards.
• Processes images and reviews for proper identification and quality control.
• Assists radiologists during fluoroscopic and special x-ray exams.
• Maintains records in PACS and EMR.

OVERVIEWThis role performs different types of X-ray and imaging procedures, including portable, fluoroscopic, and C-arm exams, while safely positioning and caring for patients. They operate imaging equipment, review images for quality, follow radiation safety rules, document procedures, and assist radiologists with exams.
