Job description

Join to apply for the Radiologic Technologist I role at Advocate Health.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Performing basic and intermediate radiographic procedures, including general diagnostic and fluoroscopic exams.
  2. Communicating with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and address questions.
  3. Positioning patients, selecting exposure factors, and ensuring radiation safety.
  4. Labeling images, verifying orders, and maintaining image quality and records.
  5. Consulting with Radiologists and assisting in procedures.
  6. Entering data into the radiology information system and documenting billing.
  7. Performing patient positioning and transport duties, with proper lifting techniques.
  8. Providing age-appropriate care, understanding growth and development principles.

Qualifications include:

  1. Radiographer license issued by Wisconsin.
  2. ARRT Registered Technologist (RT) certification.
  3. BLS certification within 6 months.

Education: Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Experience: None required.

Skills: Radiology positioning, safety knowledge, communication, independence, computer skills.

Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing/walking for long periods, and working with protective equipment in a potentially hazardous environment.
