Job description

Join to apply for the Radiologic Technologist I Float role at Advocate Health.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Performing basic and intermediate radiographic procedures, including general diagnostic and fluoroscopic exams.
  2. Communicating with patients to explain procedures, obtain history, ensure understanding, and address questions.
  3. Positioning patients, selecting exposure factors, and ensuring radiation safety.
  4. Labeling images, verifying requisitions, and ensuring image quality.
  5. Assisting radiologists and maintaining records according to regulations.
  6. Performing patient transport and positioning duties, including lifting and pushing/pulling.
  7. Providing age-appropriate care, understanding growth and development principles.

Qualifications include:

  1. Wisconsin Radiographer license.
  2. ARRT Registered Technologist (RT).
  3. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months.
  4. Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  5. No prior experience required.
  6. Skills in radiology positioning, radiation safety, communication, and computer literacy.

Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for long periods, and operate necessary equipment. The role involves exposure to hazards and requires proper protective measures.
