Responsibilities
  1. Perform basic and intermediate radiographic procedures, including general diagnostic and fluoroscopic exams.
  2. Communicate with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm understanding, and address questions or concerns.
  3. Position patients, select exposure factors, and ensure radiation safety according to prescribed methods.
  4. Identify patients, label images, verify requisitions, and process images to ensure quality, calling back patients as necessary.
  5. Assist and consult with Radiologists.
  6. Maintain records per regulatory standards, enter data into the radiology system, and document billing codes for procedures.
  7. Perform patient positioning and transportation duties, utilizing proper techniques and lifting methods.
  8. Provide age-appropriate care, demonstrating knowledge of growth and development, and interpret data to meet patient needs, as per departmental policies.
Qualifications
  • Radiographer license issued by Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) with ARRT.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • No prior experience required.
Skills & Abilities
  • Proficiency in radiology positioning and techniques.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and radiology equipment.
  • Excellent communication and patient service skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
Physical & Working Conditions
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
  • Exposure to hazards, requiring personal protective equipment.
  • Good speech, vision, and hearing.
