Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) in South Carolina seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform medical X-ray exams and supporting CMA duties. You will interact with patients, prepare exam rooms, and document information in medical records, ensuring accuracy and sterility.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• ARRT registration must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Licensure from the SC Radiation Quality Standards Association is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate portable x-ray equipment for radiographic examinations.
• Inspect equipment, supplies, and accessories regularly.
• Perform preventive maintenance and coordinate major malfunctions with service vendors.
• Maintain orderly and clean work areas; manage supplies.
• Assist with interviewing patients and recording vital signs as part of CMA duties.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations and document findings in medical records.
• Demonstrate clear verbal and written communication; adhere to detailed instructions.
