Job summary

MUSC Health seeks a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist to perform high-quality radiographic exams and support accurate diagnoses at our SC facilities. The role uses state-of-the-art imaging equipment and requires ARRT registration, SC licensure, and BLS certification. You will contribute to patient safety and imaging quality across multiple clinics and hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Ensures diagnostic images are obtained accurately and efficiently for physician interpretation.
• Prepares and administers contrast agents as directed and under the supervision of a physician.
• Verifies patient identification, examination orders, and relevant clinical information prior to procedures.
• Positions patients appropriately and operates radiographic equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintains patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout examinations.
• Reviews images for quality and completeness and obtains additional images when necessary.
• Follows radiation safety practices and applicable departmental and regulatory standards.
• Documents examinations and patient information accurately in the appropriate electronic systems.
• Maintains equipment and work areas in accordance with department standards and infection prevention protocols.
