Job summary

Responsibilities include patient care before, during and after procedures, documentation, radiation safety, and collaboration with the radiology team.

Requires NM RRT license (or temporary) and ARRT certification; advanced credentials encouraged; benefits include tuition

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Current NM Radiologic Technologist (RRT) license or temporary license.
• ARRT R.T.(R) certification preferred at hire; must obtain within 1 year if not certified.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging procedures using appropriate equipment and protocols.
• Operates and troubleshoots imaging equipment to ensure quality images and workflow.
• Provides basic patient care before, during, and after procedures.
• Completes documentation and performs departmental clerical duties.
• Maintains patient rights, privacy and confidentiality while delivering care.
• Participates in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
• Supports orientation of new staff and students during rotations.
• Adheres to radiation safety and infection prevention policies.
• Collaborates with Radiologists and healthcare team to ensure quality care.
