Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Current New Mexico Radiography Technologist (RRT) license or Temporary Radiography License.
• ARRT Certification in Radiography preferred; if not held, must obtain within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality radiographic examinations in accordance with physician orders and safety standards.
• Maintain compliance with department policies, quality assurance initiatives and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures with clear instructions and emphasis on comfort and safety.
• Operate radiographic equipment safely to produce diagnostic-quality images.
• Review images for technical quality and accuracy, ensuring imaging standards are met.
• Inspect and monitor equipment, supplies, and accessories to ensure readiness for patient care.
• Maintain inventory levels and stock required supplies in imaging areas.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain examination rooms for a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
• Assist with transporting patients to imaging areas and to the Emergency Department as needed.
• Practice infection prevention and proper patient handling at all times.
• Collaborate with radiologists, providers, nurses, and healthcare teams to support patient care.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
