Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Radiologic Technologist II (CT Tech) at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. The role focuses on operating CT scanners and X-ray machines to produce cross-sectional images, aiding diagnosis and patient care.

Eligible candidates must hold radiology credentials and be familiar with safety and regulatory standards. The position is full-time with day shifts (Sun–Tue) and 12-hour shifts from 6:00am to 6:30pm.

Qualifications

• Licensed and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• National certifications in two modalities required (as of 2017).
• Current BCLS (AHA).
• Familiar with State and Federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and position them properly on CT table with empathy.
• Operate CT scanners and X-ray machines to obtain high-quality images while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during procedures.
• Assist radiologists in image interpretation and contrast administration as needed.
• Maintain quality assurance on CT/X-ray equipment and inventory.

We are seeking aRadiologic Technologist II,sometimes referred to as a Computer Tomography Techor CT Tech. As theRadiology Technologist II you will specialize andbe responsible foroperating CT scanners and X-ray machines to produce cross-sectional images of patient’s internal organs and tissues. You willassist in diagnosing medical conditions and the treatment plan process, by producing high-quality images that help healthcare providers make informed decisions about our patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and ensure patients are properly positioned on the CT table and explain the procedure to them with empathy, address any concerns or questions they may have

• Operate CT scanners and/or X-ray machines to obtain images of the targeted body parts, which may involve adjusting the CT scanner settings tooptimizeimage quality while minimizing radiation exposure, radiation safetyat all times

• Monitor our patients, as a CT Technologist ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure

• Assistother radiologists, as you will work closely with them, who interpret the images you produced by the CT exam you may alsoassistin administering contrast agents or perform certain procedures

• Accountable for the quality assurance of CT scanners / X-ray machines to ensure they function properly and produceaccurateimages

• Responsible formaintainingradiologic supplies, making sure the equipment is in good operating order, and following protocolsregardinginfection control and hygiene

Qualifications

• Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State

• Effective July 1, 2017appropriate national certifications in two modalities required

• Current BCLS (AHA)

• Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations

• One year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferrred

• Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program required, JRCERT accreditation preferred

• Proficient computer skills
