*Responsibilities*
- Operate radiology equipment to produce imaging films as directed by physicians.
- Perform radiographic and cardiopulmonary procedures for diagnosis and treatment, including specialized procedures like venography, myelography, and gastrointestinal exams.
- Produce diagnostic radiographs for interpretation by physicians or radiologists.
- Position patients and adjust equipment for optimal imaging following established procedures.
- Examine radiology films and digital exams for quality properties such as density, contrast, and distortion.
- Take X-rays of various body parts to diagnose diseases or injuries.
- Follow safety principles and radiation protection guidelines while ensuring patient comfort and care.
- Record test results and monitor patient data accurately.
- Maintain radiographic logs and documentation of exams, patient details, and retake reasons.
- Maintain departmental records to comply with state and federal regulations.
- File and manage shipping and receiving logs for radiographs and tests.
- Keep current MSDS forms for the radiology department.
- Calibrate and maintain X-ray equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
*Qualifications*
- Associate degree from an accredited radiologic technologist program.
- Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in radiologic technology.
*Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Training*
- Knowledge of radiology equipment, anatomy, and physiology.
- Understanding of medical terminology and abbreviations.
- Awareness of safety hazards in radiology, including equipment and patient handling.
- Skills in patient positioning for quality imaging.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with standard procedures in the field.
- Strong work ethic and professionalism.

$20.86 - $29.46 per hour
