Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a two-year accredited program in Radiologic Technology is required.
• Mammography certification when applicable (achieved within two years of hire).
• Bone Dosimetry certification when applicable.
• State Licensure on Radiation Protection as required.
• CPR Certification.
• An associate's degree is preferred.
• Yearly PEEPS certification required for proper and safe positioning and transfer of patients.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures per departmental guidelines.
• Operates radiographic equipment and radiology-supported computer systems.
• Maintains compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (ACR and Joint Commission).
• Enters accurate patient study information into clinical care systems.
• Assists with workflow coordination and patient care activities.
• Obtains clinical history and appropriate consent for examinations.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and uses three patient identifiers.
• Supports learning for students and new staff in departmental procedures and safety.
• Collaborates with OP Imaging, clinicians, nursing, and ancillary departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assesses patient status changes and participates in performance improvement data collection.
• Attends department meetings and required in-services.

Education

Two-year accredited program in Radiologic Technology

Mammography certification when applicable

Bone Dosimetry certification when applicable

State Licensure on Radiation Protection

CPR Certification

ARRT registered

ARRT Mammography Registered

Associate's degree preferred
