Qualifications

• ARRT registration or eligible for registration.
• Delaware State License for Radiation Protection where required.
• CPR certification required or on file.
• Completion of a 2-year Radiologic Technology program.
• Associate degree preferred for the role.
• Mammography certification when applicable within two years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures per departmental policy and guidelines.
• Proficient use of radiographic equipment and radiology information systems.
• Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and Joint Commission standards.
• Enter accurate patient study information into clinical care systems.
• Coordinate workflow and patient care activities; obtain clinical history and consent.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and use 3 patient identifiers at all times.
• Assist in teaching students and new staff; participate in quality control and safety.
• Communicate effectively with imaging staff and other departments to ensure patient satisfaction.
