Job summary

St. Luke's Health–The Vintage Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform a range of diagnostic imaging procedures including X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI. The role involves ensuring image quality, patient safety, and collaboration with Radiologists for accurate diagnoses.

Required credentials include ARRT registration upon hire and CPR. An Associates of Science is preferred, with a focus on infection control and equipment maintenance to support high-quality patient

Qualifications

• Has ARRT Radiography registration or eligibility upon hire.
• CPR/BLS certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging tests (X-rays, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, MRI) per department protocols.
• Prepare and maintain imaging equipment and room readiness; perform QA and documentation.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with Lead Technologist for problems.
• Ensure infection control standards and proper inventory of supplies.
• Complete equipment logs and maintain clinical supply inventories.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

• Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols under the direction of the Medical Director. Obtains and documents patient history.
• Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards. Performs periodic QA and Ensures requisite documentation.
• Problem solves equipment failure and contacts Lead Technologist regarding equipment problems.
• Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance are performed before/during/ after each procedure, and that special precautions and measures are performed to ensure infection control standards.
• Completes all quality checks and Ensures that equipment logs are maintained
• Completes all clinical supply inventories, ensuring that each diagnostic room is complete with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedure
