Job summary

A healthcare provider is seeking a Radiologic Technologist in Sugar Land, Texas. In this role, you will perform various imaging examinations to assist Radiologists in patient diagnosis and care. You will ensure the functionality of imaging equipment, maintain safety and infection controls, and document crucial patient information. Candidates should have a Registered Technologist certification and at least one year of experience. This position offers a competitive salary and a sign-on bonus for eligible new hires.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Registered Technologist in Radiography or equivalent upon hire.
  • At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Basic Life Support - CPR certification required within 14 days.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain imaging equipment ensuring safety and functionality.

Job description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

  • Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols under the direction of the Medical Director. Obtains and documents patient history.
  • Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards. Performs periodic QA and ensures requisite documentation.
  • Problem solves equipment failure and contacts appropriate personnel regarding equipment problems.
  • Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance are performed before/during/ after each procedure, and that special precautions and measures are performed to ensure infection control standards.
  • Completes all quality checks and ensures that equipment logs are maintained.
  • Completes all clinical supply inventories, ensuring that each diagnostic room is complete with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedure.
Requirements
  • One (1) year of experience
  • Medical Radiographer: TX, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Bone Densitometry, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Mammography, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Quality Management, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Vascular Interventional Rad, upon hire or
  • Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography, upon hire

Pay Range
