Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join St. Luke's Health–The Vintage Hospital in the Houston area. You will perform X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT and MRI imaging, collaborating with Radiologists to deliver accurate diagnostic results.

The role emphasizes patient interaction, workflow optimization, proper patient positioning, and precise image capture to support timely diagnoses and treatment plans. The position is based on-site in Northwest Houston, within the St.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiography certification required or upon hire.
• CPR/BLS certification required or upon hire.
• Texas licensure (Medical Radiographer) required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete diagnostic imaging tests (X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, MRI) following departmental protocols.
• Prepare and maintain imaging equipment; ensure safety, QA, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and notify Lead Technologist for problems.
• Maintain infection control standards and room/equipment logs.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

• Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols under the direction of the Medical Director. Obtains and documents patient history.
• Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards. Performs periodic QA and Ensures requisite documentation.
• Problem solves equipment failure and contacts Lead Technologist regarding equipment problems.
• Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance are performed before/during/ after each procedure, and that special precautions and measures are performed to ensure infection control standards.
• Completes all quality checks and Ensures that equipment logs are maintained
• Completes all clinical supply inventories, ensuring that each diagnostic room is complete with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedure
