Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic procedures with independent clinical judgment and high standards of patient care. You will operate diagnostic imaging equipment, ensure image quality, and support accurate diagnoses while educating patients and families about procedures.

The role emphasizes adherence to safety policies, quality control, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and resource use.

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited school of Radiology program.
• Requires national certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensure by the state regulatory agency if applicable.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic procedures and analysis according to departmental guidelines.
• Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment; explains risks and prevention.
• Produces high quality images and prepares them for interpretation with proper documentation.
• Demonstrates competence in invasive/interventional procedures when applicable.
• Performs equipment quality control measurements; troubleshoots issues and maintains safety.
• Maintains confidentiality of work information and adheres to regulatory requirements.
• Ensures efficient department workflow and inventory management.
• Independently performs prescribed radiographic procedures following policies and protocols.
