Job summary

Wellstar in Georgia is seeking Radiology Technologists for PRN, variable scheduling roles within a collaborative care environment. You will operate imaging equipment, maintain ALARA principles, and support patient safety and comfort while ensuring accurate documentation.

Eligible candidates include graduates of accredited Radiologic Technology programs with ARRT-R and BLS certifications. Experience is preferred but not required, with a strong focus on teamwork and quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience is preferred but not required.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and BLS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and competently.
• Ensure patient safety, privacy, and comfort per protocols.
• Verify orders and patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures clearly and address questions to reduce anxiety.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol using sterile technique.
• Maintain accurate documentation in RIS/PACS and ensure studies are finalized.
• Assist with daily workflow and maintain department readiness.
