Job summary

Wellstar in Georgia is seeking Radiology Technologists to join a PRN, variable schedule role within a collaborative care team. You will operate imaging equipment, ensure patient safety, and document exams in RIS/PACS, while maintaining ALARA standards.

The position requires a High School diploma, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT-R and BLS certifications; experience is preferred but not required, with opportunities for career progression and education through

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and competently, maintaining diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders and patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures and address patient questions to reduce anxiety using AIDET.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Complete accurate documentation and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
