Job summary

Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley is hiring a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging with independent judgment across multiple modalities.

You will handle fluoroscopy, mobile C-arm, and tele-radiography while ensuring timely orders and accurate documentation for patient care. Applicants should hold ARRT and CRT credentials, with BLS certification, and be able to work flexible shifts at the Tri-Valley location.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Radiological Technology program.
  • ARRT and CRT certifications required within 180 days of starting.
  • Proficiency with hospital reporting tools and imaging workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Position and perform age-appropriate diagnostic imaging as trained.
  • Process images as assigned and troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
  • Operate fluoroscopy systems including mobile C-arm and fixed units.
  • Perform tele-radiography and ensure timely completion of orders.
  • Update patient orders and document deviations per protocol.
  • Adhere to C-I-CARE and hospital safety standards.

This is a Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley job.

A Brief Overview

The Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, and the use of ingenuity and initiative. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as assigned.

What You Will Do
  • Position and perform age appropriate diagnostic quality imaging as trained.
  • Processes images as assigned.
  • Assist to trouble-shoot minor equipment problems, identify issues and escalation to supervisor and/or initiate service calls as appropriate.
  • Operate fixed fluoroscopy systems and transmits fluoroscopy spot images as needed and required.
  • Operate mobile C-arm fluoroscopy systems, mobile radiographic systems and fixed radiographic systems.
  • Perform tele-radiography work using appropriate systems.
  • Ensure orders are completed in a timely manner.
  • Use Quantros Reporting system appropriately.
  • Utilize Medselect to dispense medications as needed.
  • Appropriately update patient orders and add patient information at end of exam to explain deviations from protocol.
  • Comply with regulatory requirements and initiatives as it pertains to the position and department.
  • Attend staff and departmental meetings and participate in hospital wide work groups as assigned.
  • Participate in the inventory and replacement of supplies by ordering or notifying a supervisor.
  • Employee must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the C-I-CARE Standards of the Hospital. C-I-CARE is the foundation of Stanford’s patient-experience and represents a framework for patient-centered interactions.
Education Qualifications
  • Satisfactory completion of a program in Radiological Technology. Required

  • Ability to work flexible schedules and varying locations as assigned.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skill with the ability to communicate across all levels of the hospital and departments.

Licenses and Certifications
  • ARRT - Radiology Tech License required 180 days of starting the position
  • CRT required .
  • Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers required .
  • RTF - Rad Tech Fluoroscopy required 180 days of starting the position

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $59.50 - $79.33 per hour

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
