Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT scans and related radiographic procedures. The role requires independent judgment and adherence to department protocols within a collaborative radiology team.

Qualifications

  • ARRT certification and maintenance; CRT licensure; ARR-T (CT) within 6 months of employment; Venipuncture certificate with 10-stick attestation; Current AHA BLS certification.

  • Maintains infection control and hospital policies and clean work area.
  • Explains procedures to patients and answers questions to reduce anxiety.

Job Summary

The CT Technologist performs CT scans and general diagnostic radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, and the use of ingenuity and initiative. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as assigned.

Essential Functions

The essential functions listed below are general examples and not a description of comprehensive duties. May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.

  • Performs procedures and utilizes electronic system to verify and process orders.
  • Follow department and hospital protocol and policies.
  • Responsible to keep up with department changes, protocols and policies updates.
  • Follows infection control practices, practices universal precautions and maintains a clean and organized work environment.
  • Clean and tend to equipment, call for services as needed.
  • Assesses and monitors the patient; reports and documents change in the patient’s condition and/or support equipment (I.V., oxygen, chest tube, ET tube, etc.).
  • Interacts with the patient, family members and other staff to help educate them on the procedure.
  • Understands any age-related patient needs and responds accordingly; reassures patient and consistently tries to obtain cooperation while reducing anxiety.
  • Processes images and prints films as needed.
  • Attends staff and departmental meetings and participates in hospital wide work groups as assigned.
  • Employee must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the C-I-CARE Standards of the Hospital. C-I-CARE is the foundation of Stanford’s patient-experience and represents a framework for patient-centered interactions.
Job Qualifications
Education
  • High school graduate or equivalent
Experience
  • Prefer at least one-year experience performing CT procedures
License/Certifications
  • ARRT - certification and maintenance.
  • CRT licensure and maintenance.
  • ARRT (CT) within 6 months of employment
  • Venipuncture certificate along with successful 10 stick attestation
  • Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and varying locations as assigned
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the hospital and departments

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $53.57 - $72.11 per hour

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
